Thanks Nechie!
Matt's Aunt Nechie got Caleb and Sarah the BEST presents - awesome kid chairs. Sarah's came the other day and the kids had so much fun climbing all over them. Caleb's is on it's way and I can't wait to see them on the chairs together. But, in the meantime, they are having tons of fun with Sarah's chair.

Snip snip
Caleb's bangs were getting out of control - the poor boy could barely see. So, I cut them. I really wanted to wait until he was a year but in the end, Caleb's need to see outweighed my superstitious belief (not that I even know where the superstition comes from or what it means).
Here he is post hair cut.
Sometimes I think he looks like a little Dutch boy, or an 80s Canadian hockey player, or an 18th century composer. Too cute.
So much to post, so little time
I know, some serious slacking off over here. But I did go back to work, so that's cut into my free time. And the holiday preparations. We also finished the windows in the attic (well, we paid someone to do it, but we still had to clean the place out and stuff). Plus I wanted to make sure all my unfinished business got finished before I started back to work. I think I pretty much succeeded.
We hired someone to come and install gates and latches and all other sorts of child safety equipment. Yes, we hired someone to do it. We're not handy. At all.
Happy to report that the kids have more free reign in the living room. And judge all you want, but it's not easy watching two little babies crawling (fast) in two different directions!
We said goodbye (sniff!) to the exer-saucer and jumper after both babies managed to escape from them.
So Matt decided to fashion a "holding pen" of sorts in the living room. They don't look too upset, do they?

Lunch with Andy and Susan
Today we ventured out to Mahwah for lunch with Andy and Susan. They had their usual yogurt, but were too mesmerized by Andy to really concentrate and eat. So they helped me eat pizza. Yum. The babies had a great time crawling around and getting love from Bubbles the dog. Sarah even attempted climbing the stairs! Luckily I had Susan and Andy to help monitor them as of course they were taking off in two different directions. One playing with Eric's stereo equipment, one going for the stairs. One going for the remote, the other in the plant. Andy took the pics, so we'll have to wait for her to send them (ah-hem).

Two Little Chicks
Or Ducks. Or Little Birdies. Any way you say it, the babies were a hit at the Maplewood Parade (which isn't a parade, but lots of kids trick or treating in Maplewood Village). Lots of people stopped to say how cute they were—I have to agree—and some even took their picture. Strange. They had a lot of fun cruising around with their monkey friend Nate.
And we get to do it again tomorrow!!
